  1.              ------ Fire Fighter Icon ------

  3. The icon for Fire Fighter will not install in Windows
  4. automatically with the install program.  This is because
  5. Fire Fighter is a DOS program (even though it will run
  6. in Windows).
  7.  
  8. Fire Fighter has an icon in the subdirectory where the
  9. program is located.  If you want to change the icon to
  10. a more attractive one, follow the directions below.
  11.  
  12. To change the Fire Fighter icon:
  13.  
  14. 1.  While in the Program Manager, select the icon that is
  15.     currently used for Fire Fighter. 
  16. 2.  From the File menu, select Properties. 
  17. 3.  In the Program Item Properties dialog box, choose the
  18.     Change Icon button.
  19. 4.  Press OK when the message box appears stating that
  20.     there are no available icons for the specified file.
  21.     This message is irrelevant.
  22. 4.  Instead of selecting an icon from the ones shown, in
  23.     the File Name box, type the file name below and then
  24.     press ENTER:
  25.     
  26.     c:\dw_share\fire\fire.ico 
  27.  
  28. 5.  In the Program Item Properties dialog box, choose
  29.     the OK button. 
  30.  
  31. NOTE:  If you are a new computer user and are unable to
  32. understand the above instructions, just use the icon that
  33. is already there.  Changing the icon is for appearance
  34. only, it does not affect the program.

  36.          ------ Program Performance ------

  38. Fire Fighter will run in Windows if you have enough
  39. memory available.  If you find that it performs poorly
  40. while running it in Windows, then you do not have
  41. enough memory available.  For better performance, exit
  42. Windows and run it in DOS.  Do not select the MS-DOS
  43. Prompt icon in Windows but rather exit Windows completely.
  44. You need 512K of conventional memory available to run
  45. Fire Fighter.  Your DOS manual has information about
  46. memory management.
